Bakkane farm on Færøy welcomes you to experience farm life. The farmer feeds and milks the cows every morning and night, and you will have the opportunity to taste fresh milk and feed the calves. The milk the Jersey cows at Bakkane produce is perfect for churning butter because it contains a high percentage of fat. There are very few farms that make butter in Norway nowadays, thus the Jersey cow is an uncommon breed. Home made butter can be bought at Færøy feriesenter. In addition to cows, the Bakkane farm also hosts rabbits and hens. Fresh eggs can be bought directly from the farm.
